General Questions

1. What is my fax number?

Each EzyFax account comes with a local number that you can now distribute to your business partners and friends. Faxes sent to this number will be sent to your email immediately upon receipt.
* Service currently only available in Malaysia

2. Can I transfer my current fax number to EzyFax?

Unfortunately, land line number portability is not available yet due to restrictions from the telecommunication authorities.

3. What equipment do I need to use EzyFax?

All you need is an email address! No fax machines, no phone lines, no hassles.

All faxes you receive will be sent to your email as soon as it is received. You can then use your everyday email client, whether it is Gmail, Hotmail, Yahoo, Outlook, Thunderbird or even your iPhone or Blackberry, to retrieve the fax just like retrieving your email.

4. Can I have more than one fax number?

Yes, you can subscribe more than one fax number into an account. However, standard fees apply.

5. Do I need to install any software to start using your service?

Not at all! All you need is an email account and internet access. No additional hardware is necessary to enjoy the benefits of EzyFax.

6. Do I need to make a long-term commitment?

No long term commitment required! With EzyFax, there are different plans starting from just 3 months. However, longer term plans enjoy greater discounts. Choose the plan that best meets your business needs.

7. How soon can I start using the service after my payment?

Allow 1 business day for us to provision an account for you. We will then send you the login details to your specified email address.

8. What are the possible means of payment ?

We currently support payment via Paypal and Bank Transfer.


Receiving Faxes

1. How do I receive and view my faxes?

As soon as you receive a new fax, it is sent to your email and available in your EzyFax online account.

2. How much does it cost to receive a fax?

It is FREE to receive faxes!

3. Can anyone send me a fax or must they be ExyFax subscribers?

You can receive faxes from anyone. EzyFax can receive faxes just like a normal fax machine, but brings it to the 21st century by digitizing your documents.

4. How am I informed when a new fax arrives?

You will receive the fax as an email attachment immediately. No more waiting by the fax machine or having someone tell you when the fax arrives.

There is also an option to send an SMS alert once the fax is received. To activate this, enable the option in your account settings. The cost of sending the SMS will be deducted from your account.

5. Can I receive faxes from overseas?

Yes! All the sending party needs to do is send a fax as they would normally do to your EzyFax number. The EzyFax service is transparent to them, but makes a world of difference to you since you get the fax immediately to your email now.

6. How long do you store incoming fax documents?

Your incoming faxes will be stored for 3 months. Our system will automatically delete stored fax documents which are older than 3 months. Please download your faxes if you want to keep them longer than this period.

7. In what format will I receive my faxes?

Your fax send to you in PDF format as an email attachment. PDF files can be viewed with the Free Adobe Acrobat Reader software or using Google Docs.

8. Does EzyFax supports color faxes?

Currently, only black and white faxes are supported.


Sending Faxes

1. How do I send faxes?

Just log into your EzyFax account, enter the receipient details and upload the document you want to send. It’s as easy as that!

2. Can I send and receive faxes when I’m abroad?

Yes, that ‘s the beauty and convenience of EzyFax!

Faxes received are delivered to your email and EzyFax account and immediately accessible where ever you are.

You can send faxes overseas by just logging into your EzyFax account and sending the document anywhere in the world. All for the price of a local call too. No more paying exorbitant business center rates!

3. What are the supported document formats that can be sent as a fax?

We currently support only PDF format. We are continually improving the system and will add more formats as required. You can also use the free software, Bullzip to convert your document to PDF format.

4. Does EzyFax supports color faxes?

Currently, only black and white faxes are supported.
